Remember this little cutie from last spring?


Well she's grown into a beautiful 6-month-old already! I was happy to join her and her parents on an evening hike to a gorgeous tower overlooking all of Boston. What a way to enjoy fall in New England!

I'm usually more of a color photography kind of girl, but I found so many of these images to be striking in black and white.

Did you have your sugar this morning?

As the mom of a 16 month old, I know how tiring it can be to run after a toddler. But when you add trying to get some beautiful photos at the same time, it's downright exhausting! Luckily, this little one was full of smiles and happy to make a game out of anything we did together. I'm pretty sure we both took good naps right after the shoot was done, though!

A lesson learned

After looking at the pics from this shoot, you might think that everyone was in a great mood and highly cooperative. Well, you'd be a little wrong :) See, mom and I decided to go ahead with the photo shoot despite the fact that little C had her 6 month shots just minutes before the start of the shoot. What can I say...it seemed like a good idea at the time! We did manage to get some great photos, but we all worked very hard for them!



Big bro loved playing in the leaves! Talk about action shots!

Brown-eyed girl

After three days of sessions with wonderful families, I really enjoyed this 3-generational photo shoot! Grandma came to Massachusetts all the way from the West Coast, so we seized the opportunity to get some great photos with Grandma, Mom, and this adorable baby girl. Although the morning started out pretty chilly, it warmed up quickly with such beautiful, bright morning sunshine!

Seriously, they were up for anything! Bringing a leather chair outside? Sure! Riding the Jeep around the house? Why not? Setting up an art studio in the backyard? Of course!
I certainly got my workout for the day running all over chasing this 2-year old cutie, but I think it was well worth the energy.
