Preview

Spending time with this family was a little preview of what my life will be like in another 6 months or so. Their boys are so sweet, yet independent - and both are very, very fast! We had fun trying to keep up with them during the shoot!

Too easy

Sometimes a shoot is almost too easy. Like this one :) These gorgeous little girls showed up on time, smiled their little hearts out, and didn't have a single melt down (I think!). Plus, they were dressed perfectly for a fall session! Oh, and the pigtails didn't hurt, either...

I love this first pic because it sums up the session perfectly :) That little guy never stopped moving and smiling!

Efficiency

We had a free 15 minutes this afternoon (something that is very rare in this household!) so I got the boys dressed and snapped a fall photo. It was so fast they didn't even have time to argue! Of course, a little incentive always helps (check out what Hudson's holding to see what I mean...) :)

Autumn colors

I love when photo sessions bring me to beautiful local places that I never knew existed! When we found this location, we knew that it was perfect for a fall session - foliage, a barn, a big field, and an antique chair! Ok, so maybe we brought the chair with us...but isn't it great? The temps were pretty chilly that morning, though, so we opted for some warmup time before finishing up with new outfits and a different location. Actually, I'll start by posting the last photos of the day because I love them so much!

What a difference a year makes

I first met this family last year, when their little boy was a happy, smiley 9 month old. This year, his baby sister is almost 9 months old and K has grown into an active and adorable toddler! Luckily, he hasn't lost that signature grin :)

Well Dressed

I've been lucky enough to document this little guy growing from a tiny 6 week old into a handsome little boy. Of course, he's been impeccably dressed his whole life!

Mom wanted to capture a bit of fall in these photos, so we (stupidly?) headed to one of the most popular pumpkin patches on one of the most beautiful fall days of the year so far. Although the crowds were insane, we managed to find some spots without throngs of people around...it just took some patience!

Donuts=Happiness

Evidently, all it takes to get these kids to smile is the promise of donuts. Of course, we had so much fun that they passed out on the way home and didn't get their treats until after dinner!

I really enjoyed getting to know these kiddos during our session - especially since mom and I worked together once upon a time :)

Here come the colors!

This was my first session during the start of foliage season in New England. If only it could last all year long! The colors, the crisp cool air, pumpkins, cider....yummy :)

Mama's Boys

Most new moms look at their babies with a potent combination of love and pride. But this Mama's adoration for her little boys was just incredible...and the feeling was clearly mutual! These gentlemen were some of the best behaved, sweet boys I've had the pleasure to work with :)

Thanks for letting me spend so much time with you, guys! Enjoy getting to know the newest addition :)

Talk about an amazing Christmas present! Dad is going to adore these photos waiting for him under the tree. I wish I could see his eyes when he opens them! And these aren't even the best of the evening ;)

Under construction

I apologize for the current condition of this blog! I'm in the process of a complete blog overhaul, and I think we'll have to live with this ridiculous layout for a few weeks until I unveil the new beauty :) At least the photos are bigger now, even the info is a little harder to find...

I tried.

Really, I did. But I just couldn't resist! I need to work on all of my holiday sessions right now, but I peeked at a few of the many pics that I took of my own family today. I can't wait to go through the rest and pick out a new canvas for our living room!

Too many

Usually, as I go through the images from a session, certain pics jump out at me as being the ones to include in the final album for a family. Not this time! There were just so many that I wanted to share and I couldn't narrow it down. I mean, come on! Would you look at those big, chocolate eyes? I could have taken 1000 photos of them and still been excited to see more :)

Today was a whirlwind day with two fabulous families. It wasn't all fun and games...



...but with a little persistence, I think we made out really well!

My baby is on the move, and I'm SO not ready for it! Isn't he still my cuddly little newborn? I was just getting the hang of having a toddler and a baby...but TWO mobile children?? AHHHH!!!

At least he's cute :)
